# About Sumaia Aktar

Sumaia Aktar is a senior software engineer in Dhaka, Bangladesh, a contributor to the Laravel framework and to laravel/ai, Laravel's official AI SDK, and the co-founder and engineering lead of OnBordly, a multi-tenant HR SaaS.

I am a senior software engineer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with seven years of production experience in PHP, Laravel and Vue. Since 2025 I have contributed to Laravel itself: 60 pull requests merged into laravel/framework, including work credited in the Laravel 13 release, and 37 merged into laravel/ai, the framework's official AI SDK, where I hardened provider integrations across thirteen LLM vendors.

I co-founded OnBordly, a multi-tenant HR platform, and lead its engineering, taking it from an empty repository to eight shipped modules with tiered billing and feature flags. Before that I spent nearly five years at WPDeveloper on easy.jobs, an AI-powered recruitment SaaS, where I built the conversational AI Apply engine and integrated resume parsing and candidate scoring.

I build with AI, not just alongside it. I run a small fleet of self-hosted autonomous agents that turn GitHub issues into pull requests, review code, and brief me in Slack, and I publish open-source packages on Packagist and npm. I am open to senior backend, AI-engineering and product roles, working remotely from UTC+6.
